I can so relate, as i have been there myself, loosing the interest and not knowing why or what to do, like you say "...but I did care that I didn't care." And I am happy for you, that you started to think about creating something again. I am still learning to trust the times when i just feel empty, as times when I am not supposed to create, but to watch, learn, absorb and rest. Only to suddenly feel the swelling in me, like a pregnancy, and then finally the 'birth' of some new ideas and work.
