Land Art for Kids Workshop

Land Art for Kids Workshop, originally uploaded by escher....

So we did our first Land Art for Kids workshop on Saturday at Lancaster University and what a great time we all had!

Eighteen kids accompanied by parents and grandparents, JRTPickle and myself and I would be hard-pressed to say who enjoyed it the most. The kids all made loads of things and were really enthused but so did the adults. They all came up to us and said that they are always so busy going from a to b that they never bother to stop and look at what is actually there. Many of them, kids and adults alike, remarked that they were really surprised with what they found and taken aback at how much fun they had making things from what they had collected.

It surely will be the first of many and it gives me a great deal of satisfaction to think that maybe we had opened some of their eyes to what a fun and free activity it is. What is there not to like!

There are more pictures from the day at Land Art for Kids.
