Hazel Balls

Hazel Balls, originally uploaded by e s c h e r.

It's still cold and windy and the dandelions don't want to show their faces so I am experimenting with a few ideas before I can make the sculpture that I have in mind.

Delightful! Not only do you have a very creative mind for making your art and your photography, your writing truly gives a sense of the anticipation and delight you take in your art work.

Enjoy your Saturday.

Thanks Emanda. It's good to know my words come across like that. I have a lot of fun doing it. The art is only one part. Since I was very small I have loved poking around in the woods, forests, on beaches and in the hills. Land art just gives me an excuse to do that. I am still like a little kid really, I am always picking up things (pebbles ,shells, bits of wood etc) and saying "look at this!"

Sarah: Its very simple. I took the leaves to one side and gave them a pep talk. "Think brussel sprout" I told them. And hey presto they curled round into a ball!
